Singles! Beckie Margaret, “Divine Feminine”

21 October 2020 By jesse 1 Comment

Timeless is about as fitting a descriptor as you could get when it comes to the latest single by Beckie Margaret. With vocals that haunt a monumental soundscape, “Divine Feminine” isn’t so much a piece of music that demands your attention as much as it is something that just needs to be experienced.

But I digress.

The second track from her upcoming debut full-length, Beckie Margaret’s “Divine Feminine” is this inviting grand synthetic world that’s pretty hard to pin down when picking an appropriate genre. It’s a little bit Trip-Hop and a little bit R&B. There’s some Pop in there as well and Electro flourishes throughout but as a whole, “Divine Feminine” is just solid MUSIC. Margaret is a commanding presence that yearns to be heard and compels listeners to tune in.

Along for the ride on “Divine Feminine” are guitarist Daryl Tattoo and drummer Rees Broomfield (Who also wears the producer and mix engineer hats) who help Margaret realize this majestic symphonic atmosphere that, if it were paired with a film, would be the part in which a profound moment was realized. On its’ own, though, “Divine Feminine” is simply divine.

“Divine Feminine” releases on October 23rd through Cool Thing Records. You can find your very own copy for purchasin’ and streamin’ by heading here or here.
