The Anix Bring The Electro-Grunge On Futuristic Revenge

There are some albums that come across the desk that can’t come soon enough after an initial single is serviced. That was definitely the story when The Anix’s “Below” made its’ way to my earholes late last year. A throbbing, thumping hum of beautiful Electro-fied 30 Seconds To Mars mixed with early MuteMath that is positively hypnotic, the best thing about “Below” is that it barely scratches the surface of what the rest of Revenge has in store for listeners.

Have you ever checked out new material from an older band who hasn’t put anything out in some time and just felt embarrassed for them? That’s how I felt when I checked out the new EP from Orgy (Available here if you’re interested). Only vocalist Jay Gordon remains of the original line up and with Talk Sick, they’ve managed to tarnish a respectable legacy with juvenile lyrics and songs that simply lack punch.
