Bleak, cold, and unforgiving like the Blizzard of ’78…or like their fitting moniker, Boston’s Glacier create the kind of lurching and lumbering soundpieces that are the perfect soundtrack for New England winters and on No Light Ever, they deliver an unrelenting atmosphere that’s easily one of the Post-Metal standouts of 2019.

Boston brings together a very diverse and eclectic collection of artists. On the one hand you have the heavier, sludgier, dirtier side of rawk which permeates the scene more dominantly but on the other side, you have these introspective artists who tend to get overlooked or overshadowed.

EP’s like Scalp The Pioneer’s latest (Fentanyl I See, out now) are a tough cookie to crack when it comes to a proper review.
