Child Bite Find Crushing Cousins On Another Continent For New Split 7″ EP With Black Rheno

28 April 2022 By jesse Leave a Comment

Whenever we get a promo with barely a week or less to go before a release it tends to get pushed to the bottom of the “must cover” pile as there’s usually a bunch of other stuff that’s had our attention for some time (Again, we listen to EVERYTHING that comes our way regardless of timing). Obviously, there are some exceptions…like when we get anything from Child Bite. And how could we not drop everything for the barely 5 minutes total of “new” music from Child Bite on this Split 7″ EP (4:42 to be exact) which managed to put the biggest shit-eatin’ grin on our faces and immediately moved this release up to the the top of our “to do” list!

Child Bite Morph Manic Energy Into Mind-Blowing Mature Metal On Blow Off The Omens

12 November 2019 By jesse Leave a Comment

Normally when I go into a review of something new from Child Bite I like to have a tab open with synonyms ready for terms like “frenetic” and “cacophony” because, in most cases, that’s the kind of music fans get from the Detroit outfit. But lo and behold, here we are with their fifth full-length and the metamorphosis from simple Noise anarchists to this bewildering behemoth of rawkin’ riffs continues to arouse and astound.

Untitled Metal Column: Volume 14 (Child Bite, Burnt Offerings: Covers And Rarities 2010 – 2017)

9 May 2018 By jesse Leave a Comment

Easily one of our most favorite new bands of the past 5-10 years, Detroit’s Child Bite tap into this primal feeling of wonder each time they play by producing music that’s genre-defying and takes listeners on a different sonic journey with each new track. [Read more…]

Child Bite Let Loose Negative Noise On April 1st (Album Review)

30 March 2016 By jesse Leave a Comment

Negative Noise, the fourth full-length from Detroit’s Child Bite, is so exquisite yet at times utterly indescribable. In a good way. They’re not metal, not punk, they’re just frickin fantastic. And now is definitely the time for you to get to know them. [Read more…]

I love instant gratification…learn about a band, preview their stuff, like it, buy it, it’s yours. That was the case with Coliseum. I’d heard the name but for some reason had never gotten my toes wet in their noise pool. I saw an article on Spin where they said Killing Joke was more important than Nirvana (Duh!), listened to the stream within, dug it a lot, ordered the vinyl, got an instant download, and the physical copy within a day. Ah, modern times! Also, Deathwish Inc (Coliseum’s new label) rules. [Read more…]

Child Bite offer up some Strange Waste on latest EP

18 November 2014 By jesse 1 Comment

PromoImage (53)

Their frontman looks like Neil Fallon but sounds like Jello Biafra, the band slams down some rawk and/or roll meets punk meets rockabilly, and their latest EP is 9 tracks long but barely clocks in at 20 minutes. They’re called Child Bite out of the great state of Michigan and if that opening statement wasn’t a dead giveaway, they’re here to blow your freaking minds. [Read more…]
