The KVB is one of those artists that is so consistent that a review is almost unnecessary at this point because fans know that when it comes to the duo of Kat Day and Nicholas Wood, it’s basically guaranteed that what you’re getting is a work of art. Like their latest full-length, Unity, which is one of The KVB’s most solid records to date and an easy spoiler for folks who’ve already made up their minds on what their supposed “Best Of 2021” is already.

The KVB Unveil New EP, Submersion, Ahead Of Imminent Tour Featuring A Halloween Date In Boston

I’m conflicted! For Halloween 2019 I have quite the conundrum to work out: On the one hand I’ve never seen The KVB live, having been a fan for a few years now, yet I also love watching scary movies with my kiddo. Regardless of my indecision, The KVB will be playing Great Scott in support of last year’s Only Now Forever AND this year’s Submersion EP (And the Boston date will actually be a make up from a missed March date).

The KVB Deliver Lush Soundscapes And Fuzz-Soaked Brilliance On Of Desire

I remember years ago reading about The KVB in one of the annual “100 Bands You To Know In…” issues from Alternative Press. It was always fun for me to sift through the drivel in those issues and find the diamonds in the rough. The KVB were the diamond in the rough in that particular issue. They were more than a compelling find back then and they’ve only gotten better since as their latest, Of Desire, surely proves. [Read more…]
