RNRF X Rock & Roll Rumble 2023: Week 1, Night 3

We’re just about halfway there… through the preliminary round, that is! But you don’t care, right? Because you’re still amped? Still hyped? Still excited that there’s so many artists to experience from this killer roster that Anngelle Wood and Boston Emissions has compiled for your earholes??? Well, we’re still excited and on that note, howzabout we dig in and see what Night 3 (Happening Saturday, April 8th at the Middle East Upstairs) has in store for us (Spoiler alert-It’s the most diverse night so far!):

D-Tension & The Secrets (9PM EST): Bluesy and Countrified with Sax embellishments and leanings towards Hip-Hop, Lowell’s D-Tension & The Secrets easily wins the “Musical Potpourri” award at the 2023 Rumble with their vibrant cornucopia of sounds that’s sure to energize as they open up Night 3! For all the music and more, head here. For ye olde socials, head here, here, and here.

One Fall (945PM EST): If you needed a shot of adrenaline on Night 3 then Salem’s One Fall is here with the medicine you crave as their melodic Punk has the Pop sensibilities of Dookie, the frenetic fury of Enema Of The State (Think “Anthem” and “Dumpweed”), and the kind of musicianship that makes every Bad Religion track so iconic. Riding high off their infectious debut EP released last November, One Fall’s set might be the first at this year’s Rumble to cause the biggest sing-a-long’s so make sure you rest yer voice before they go on! Prepare for the tunes and more by heading here.

City Of Dis (1030PM EST): Let the Cambridge Prog Revolution begin! First up on Night 3 is Boston’s City Of Dis who bring their technical ecstasy to Middle East Upstairs on the tail of the release of Alterity last year which collects ten tracks of righteous progressive heaviness. In other words, pack yer ear protection! Catch up on their latest release and more when you head here.

Time Wolf (1115PM EST): In a bit of creative casting, Night 3 of the Rumble gets TWO Prog outfits! As a contrast, though, Time Wolf heads in a more keyboard-laden direction surrounded by an expansive atmosphere and crooning vocals that’ll guarantee no attendee confuse the headliner with any other artist on the bill. Come for the piano prowess, stay for the True Detective samples. Simple as that. Experience all Time Wolf has to offer now like their just-released Observer Bias full-length, social media links and more, by clicking here.

And that concludes our preview of Night 3 of the 2023 edition of the Rock And Rumble which takes place at Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge on Saturday, April 8th. Doors open at 8PM with a 9PM start time planned. Ticket links for all shows are located here with “Full Boat” passes for the whole shebang available here.
