Singles! Elizabeth Leslie, “Empire Falls”

“Empire Falls” by Toronto’s Elizabeth Leslie is everything I love in my Synth-Pop/Darkwave: Apocalyptic, ominous, and most importantly, danceable.

Pulsating and precious, “Empire Falls” channels the scope of Depeche Mode’s more epic moments (Think “Enjoy The Silence”) with a more confined darkness that modern Darkwave wunderkind’s She Wants Revenge did so well during their rise. Spurred on by current pandemic-related events across the world and the fallout from a general disarray of leadership, “Empire Falls” is equally bleak yet beautiful as this lush and unique soundscape driven by Leslie’s spellbinding vocals leads the way towards some light.

“Empire Falls” and its’ accompanying video (Check that out here) are out now and can be streamed and/or purchased by heading here or here. For the latest on Elizabeth Leslie, follow her across the media that is social by clicking here or here.
