Singles! GUT HEALTH, “CONVERSATION LOST”

If you thought that GUT HEALTH’s debut single, “RUNAWAY HIGH”, was out of this world then just wait until you hear the follow-up. For those just tuning in, GUT HEALTH is a 508-based supergroup featuring members of Herra Terra, Ian Sweet, Gloss Goddess, Orange Island, usLights, and Not Bad Not Well to name a few. In fact, our initial edit of new track “CONVERSATION LOST” said that vocally they were similar to Not Bad Not Well until we realized that they share the same singer in Gregg Kusumah-Atmadja (For the record, we proudly own it when we fuck up or dive right in on the rare occasion when we’re not being more thorough).

Anyway! You read it right, “CONVERSATION LOST” is the name of the tune and it’s yet another blisteringly beautiful hodgepodge of noise that easily takes the GUT HEALTH sound into a whole new stratosphere. Seemingly more straightforward yet wholly more complex, “CONVERSATION LOST” is Nu-Grunge but Alternative but Rawk but Post-something and altogether just perfectly GUT HEALTH. And frankly, if Kusumah-Atmadja sang everything from now on we’d be a happy camper. Come for the Keith Dusoe licks and David Haik (United Nations, Pianos Become The Teeth) sticks, stay for the Kusumah-Atmadja pipes. End of story.

“CONVERSATION LOST” arrives on April 1st ahead of an appearance at this year’s Rock & Roll Rumble on Night 2 of the Preliminary round which happens on Friday, April 5th at Middle East Upstairs.
