In this day and age, it’s truly a nice thing when an artist comes along that doesn’t sound like anything currently out in the world. And that’s definitely Michelle Forziati who, on new single “Once More”, stretches her musical chops even more by pushing that distinct voice in vibrant new directions while the aural atmosphere that swirls around Forziati’s empowering words is simply divine.
Similar to previous tracks “Strings” and “Stranger”, “Once More” seems to be a living, breathing celebration of sound put through a modern R&B filter with Trip-Hop flourishes as it ebbs and flows and practically swells like a steady heartbeat but also similar to the inhale/exhale of some zen breathing exercises. If serenity was a song then Forziati may have just created it with “Once More”. Accompanying Forziati on her latest outing is guitarist Dylan Gagnon who accents the song with those kinds of guitar flourishes that instantly gives one visuals of the performance majors over at Berklee College Of Music losing their collective minds as they unapologetically and automatically swoon over and groove along (As an alumnus, we can say that).
