What better way to break up the monotony of Horror-related film reviews and Metal records than with some profound Alt Rawk meets R&B radness from local artist Michelle Forziati! With “Stranger”, the Medford native follows the trend that last year’s “Familiar Face” and “Echo To Me” started delivering a kind of Pop with purpose anthem that seductively sashays into your headspace and sticks around for a great while.
Think New Kids On The Block circa The Block meets Portishead if you’re looking for a simple comparison of the “Stranger” sound but beyond that, there’s nothing simple about the sounds that Forziati conjured up with Monty Dale at Graybeard Recording Studio in Framingham along with guitarist Dylan Gagnon who provides those slick licks throughout the track. A song about reconnecting with your faith, whatever that might be, “Stranger” has all the makings of the next big thing surrounded by Trip-Hop style beats and piano lines (Tricky’s early works come to mind) with Forziati’s rich range at the center providing passion and power to each note sung.
“Stranger” drops on April 26th and you can head here or here to get it the instant it releases and for more from Michelle Forziati, follow the trail of socials by clicking here, here, or here.
