The opening track of an album we’ve had in our mitts for quite some time as we near closer to the inevitable release brought almost as big a grin to our faces as when we first heard Mission To Sleep’s upcoming new full-length as a whole. Following the late 2024 release of “Designer Graves” comes “No Anchor” which is a big, badass opener that also serves as a defining statement of what’s to come on A Spark Or The End.
Just like the aforementioned lead single (“Designer Graves”, which you can read all about here) from A Spark Or The End was, “No Anchor” is urgent and immediate sounding with a wave of rushing yet cathartic sounds emanating from Chris Le and Jeff Kuznezov’s start/stop blasts of guitar, Jon DeSousa’s drumming, and Justin Viveiros’ bass Rob Wu’s serene yet stern vocals adding to the overall sonic catharsis.
“No Anchor” is out now while full-length A Spark Or The End arrives April 25th through Mind Over Matter Records.
