Singles! REPLICANT, “HELLBOUND”/”HEAVENSENT”

Nothing says “We’re back!” quite like dropping two new singles on the same day! It’s been a while since we last heard from Chicago’s REPLICANT but they’re gearing up for some STUFF with these soon-to-be-released new songs leading to their new album this summer.

Losing none of that urgency as synths sound off like some kind of an alert or warning, “HELLBOUND” pulsates and throbs in this sanitized Electro-Noir world that’s a cross between Vangelis’ Philip K Dick tendencies and John Carpenter’s take on Sci-Fi. In short, a welcome return to REPLICANT’s roots following the more expansive A Taste Of Midnight.

“HEAVENSENT”, on the other hand, is a flowing ’80’s throwback complete with some nice guitar flourishes amongst the synth wall and, similar to “HELLBOUND”, a huge step forward in terms of melody with vocalist Garrett Vernon especially laying on the charisma by steering away from a droning monotone to display a broad dynamic range in its’ stead.

“HELLBOUND”/”HEAVENSENT” both arrive on May 5th. For all the pertinent links on where you can hear them as soon as they drop as well as the latest on upcoming touring and album news, head here.
