Singles! The Addition, “Shows on Repeat”

The latest from The Addition is a veritable potpourri of both some of your most favorite yet also some of the most underrated sounds of the ’90’s. Interest piqued yet? Great! Because we think if you’d take Catherine Wheel over Radiohead (Although we could see the argument for either really) with these breakdown bits reminding us of 311 circa 1995’s self-titled classic alongside some sexy riffage in the vein of what Dave Navarro originally used to do (Think “Three Days” and “Then She Said…” especially) you’d get an inkling of what was in store within “Shows on Repeat” from Boston’s The Addition. Still with us?

Grounded with an Alternative leaning base but also effortlessly incorporating elements of Psych Rawk and Prog into the mix, think of The Addition as this kind of binding agent that melds all these sounds together and makes it all make sense. And “Shows on Repeat”, the first single off upcoming full-length Void Years (Due out in Spring 2025), definitely makes sense especially when you add in these huge sweeping choruses that just add to the nuanced complexity the band bring to each note recorded.

“Shows on Repeat” releases on September 27th and you can head here to find out all the places you can hear it first! For more from The Addition, including upcoming live shows and more, follow them across their socials on the information superhighway when you click here or here.
