Yes Nanny returns! With a new single! And it rulez! But are you really that surprised? If you did dig what came before (Or came before Yes Nanny considering the collective musical backgrounds of the trio), then you should be pleased as punch with what’s coming down the pipeline. Which today comes in the form of “Dead Weight”!
A far cry from debut “The Other Ones” only in that it’s a slower more Groove-based affair with Josh Pickering’s bass and Cindy Vaccaro’s drums providing some super swagger, “Dead Weight” is a down ‘n’ dirty rawk and/or roll JAM to the fullest. The kind of music that’d light up Sunset Strip back in the day (Read: The ’80’s) but also sounds like some new, untouched territory in the Boston Music Scene that’s equal bits Garage and Grunge with vocalist Tai Heatley presenting a masterclass behind the mic with a soulful range that’s unlike anything out there right now.
“Dead Weight” is out now and you can grab yours when you head here! For more from Yes Nanny, including ALL the info about shows and more like the one happening on September 20th at Koto in Salem with Linnea’s Garden, Silver Screams and Sonic Bomb, be sure to follow them on their socials when you head here.
