Broken Body Bring The Breakdowns On The Abbreviated Bombast Of Tired Of Living

The EDICT/Scalp The Pioneer merger you never knew you needed in yer earholes has arrived!

There once was a time when we headed out to a local show to catch a local band that we had been wanting to see for quite some time as the singer is a close friend and then discovered a completely different band with a singer that slapped just as hard. The spoiler in question was EDICT and while that band is going through some changes right now, their former singer is back with Broken Body featuring members of Scalp The Pioneer, Bury Your Dead, and more.

It’ll take you more time reading through this post than listening through Broken Body’s Tired Of LIving. Hell, we’ve listened to it about 40 times now while typing all this up and that’s okay! What the Providence-based band has laid out across these 5 tracks might be short but they collectively make a statement which is as follows: Go hard then go home!

That said, there’s a certain finesse in the way that Joe, Holland, Jae, Joey, and Nik create the kind of noise that they do. And the noise they bring is definitely Hardcore at its’, ahem, core but exquisitely stripped down so that each song is practically a breakdown unto itself filled with sick shreds, diabolic percussive execution and these monstrously delivered ominous vocals from Joe Krewko that, when all combined, compel listeners to go back for seconds, thirds, and beyond.

Tired Of Living is out now and can be yours when you head here or to the stream below. For more from Broken Body, including all the deets about where to catch the band in the wild like on December 27th at 12 Library Ct. Olneyville in Providence for the return of Saint Jude with Vicious Ritual and PassionPlay, follow them across the information superhighway by clicking here.
