Quirky yet unnerving and soaked in an older New England style due to its’ locale (We swear we’ve stayed in this house before…), Luke St. Germaine’s The Guest On Topsfield Road is a devilish delight that manages to run through a bevy of Horror genres and execute them well throughout this slick short film.
Jamie-Lynn Bernard plays the part of “The Guest” perfectly as the POV for the viewer who, upon realizing this secluded AirBnB getaway may not be so secluded after, is a potpourri of emotions as the story unravels and she navigates around the many nods to some classic Horror tropes. St Germaine has concocted a crooked tale that’s got twists, turns and benefits from the clever camera work of Ben Heald to solidify the vision.
