You never know what you’re gonna get when you press “play” on a new Eliza And The Organix jam and we LOVE THAT! Our first exposure came back in November of last year with “Xmas In Hell” and while there’s been more that we’ve covered since we feel like we’re getting a full circle moment with upcoming release “All Hail (S.O.S.)”.
That said, we’re not actually sure if this is the next great anti-holiday anthem from Eliza and the Organix but dammit, there’s some “Fa La La” happenings early on so we’re putting it in that box for the narrative!
A tense and tantalizing trainwreck compared to Shellac, Say Anything, AND Blink 182 in the press release, “All Hail (S.O.S.)” is an oratory on embracing your worst self that’s pure aural anarchy through and through. But in a good way? No, really! And let’s face it, with the current state of the world, this is the perfect mantra going into holiday dinners with some fam that may or may not have voted against basic human rights and all that jazz. But anyway! Eliza’s penchant for crafting these enchanting self-depracating tales is an art form at this point with the musical talent to back it all up. From the seemingly serene and sweetly sung intro until the angst gets turned up to “11” and beyond, “All hail (S.O.S.)” is the Alternative/Punk/Doo-Wop hybrid you simply can’t ignore with Eliza confidently at the helm.
“All Hail (S.O.S.)” drops on November 24th which is just in time for Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and Christmas… if it is, in fact, in any way a holiday adjacent song.
