Singles! Michelle Forziati, “Strings”

Design Credit: Michelle Forziati

When listening through “Strings”, the latest single from MA native Michelle Forziati, a lot of generic taglines popped into out head with some of the better ones manifesting as such: “Can an artist be more catchier?” (Obviously read in a Chandler Bing-style inflection), “No sophomore slump with this second single!” (Because alliterations!) But if anything, that’s more indicative of our cheesy nature and less on the talent that Forziati exudes on song #2! And again, if we don’t dig it it don’t appear on this page (Awful English, we know!)

Anyway, back to the Gouda stuff (Cuz cheesy! Get it???) because there is so much to like within the latest offering from Michelle Forziati. And yes, it is indeed catchier than “Stranger”. And no, “slump” is not a term one would ever associate with Forziati’s music. While we found “Stranger” to lean in a more Trip-Hop/modern R&B direction, “Strings” sees the songstress branching out more with a nod to ’80’s duets and power ballads as the back and forth between Forziati and guitarist Michael Strakus certainly evokes images of those sultry video treatments of old or maybe more like Stevie Nicks singing at Lindsey Buckingham’s delicate pluckings… sans the death stare. Vocally, “Strings” positions Forziati in a Rihanna-like state especially in the way she serpentinely slithers around the word flow for a divinely debonair follow-up track.

“Strings” releases on July 26th You can head here or here to be in the know as soon as the track drops. For more from Michelle Forziati, enter the information superhighway for all the socials when you click here, here, or here.
