Singles! Neverless.am, “Will I Ever?”

Cover art by Jack Rogers

You ever try out a new song from a new artist, regardless of the genre, and immediately following its’ conclusion just declare “Wow! That was beautiful!” Just us? Well, maybe not once the newest from Neverless.am arrives on the scene!

Not necessarily from the ashes of Lurid Purple Flowers per se but more a rebranding if you will as all of LPF is still intact, Neverless.am create a kind of sound that’s indescribable. Sure, we could be all “Has elements of X!” or “This gives us all the Y feels!” but really what it all boils down to is just some fabulous, and truly kick ass, music. Shoegaze and Dream-Punk encapsulate a lot of what Neverless.am is about but coming from the LPF world, there’s bits of modern Alternative, Grunge, and even Metal laced in there as well making latest single, “Will I Ever?”, a nice starting point if you missed “Can’t Let Go” which was the first under the new moniker.

But if you did miss “Can’t Let Go” then head here as the great John Goblikon would say “RIGHT NOW!” before reading on…

Back already? You dug it, right? Both “Can’t Let Go” and “Will I Ever?” are going to duke it out for a spot on our year end local-centric Spotify playlist (Hell, we might just bookend the mix with the two of ’em at this point) and have already secured a spot on our regular local ‘Best Of’ list due at some point next month while the upcoming album that both songs are apart of has a placeholder when we eventually get to our 2025 preview post (As it’s due in February).

Obviously we can’t wait for what’s next but in the hear (We know how we spelled it) and now, vocalist/guitarist CA Newcomb delivers an equally cathartic and crushing performance on both instruments that similarly glisten and glower as Newcomb relays a harrowing personal story through song. Bassist Ben Caito is THE FOUNDATION as “Will I Ever?” ebbs and flows through Newcomb’s words (“What has happened to me/Will I ever wake up again?”) with drummer Nick White accenting the emotional peaks and valleys that the song goes through.

“Will I Ever?” doesn’t arrive until November 22nd but you can pre-save your copy now by heading here. For the latest from Neverless.am, hop on the information superhighway then make some stops here or here for updates on the upcoming album, show announcements, and more!
