TDA Raise The Flag For Feminine Rage In 2025, Deliver Fiery Debut With FUCK

Album Art by Nick Noto

We’re going to be completely honest here: The prospect of covering an artist with the moniker “titsdickass” (Or “TDA” if you’re not comfortable?) pretty much got this New York-based outfit through the door here. Luckily, the music backed up the necessity to share in these pages (And let’s be real, how often do we share anything that we don’t dig in the first place???) with a sound that’s definitely in our heart eyes wheelhouse (We’ll get to that…) so there was NO way we’d be able to resist sharing our thoughts on FUCK! Oh right, and the album is called FUCK. Seriously, how could we say no???

Look, Return Of The Living Dead is always going to be our go to reference album when describing a certain kind of Punk because it represents/encapsulates so much within the 10 tracks that make it up. See where we’re going with this? That’s right, TDA’s got those ROTLD vibes and an emphasis on The Cramps especially with some bonus tracks provided by Circle Jerks and Wendy O. Williams thrown in for good measure throughout FUCK. But made for 2025.

It all begins with “No Worry” and, for new fans, your first introduction to Julia Pierce on vocals and guitar, Sick Nick on drums, and Seth Sosebee on bass is a savage one amidst a blanket of noise that brings forth a riotous flurry of modern Punk fury. And after that “Flames” is an incendiary mission statement with Pierce, a trans woman herself, screeching “I am an a evil bitch/I am an angel witch/I am the sad tranny” like a mantra with Sick Nick’s drums creating a cacophony before a fierce Pierce sung chorus.

“God Awful Place” boasts a hypnotic abrasive fuzz while “Cross Me” dials back the tempo but amps up the Sosebee bass stylings on this haunting comedown. Following, it’s immediately understandable why “GF From Hell” would be the first single with the rich riffs from Pierce and lush rhythmic precision out of Nick and Sosebee with an undeniably catchy and yearned to be sung along to chorus.

On the flip side of that (And the lone track on Side B of the vinyl edition), the monstrous eighteen minute title track is certainly not going to be edited down into a single format anytime soon and after you hear this maelstrom of sounds you’ll agree that its’ display of the nascent energy of TDA is something that should be celebrated and not censored. Although! The track might’ve actually been longer as it was the end result of a recording session that wandered into the wee hours of the AM and only sits at its’ current length because the band ran out of tape (TDA jammed for almost 30 minutes on “Fuck” before an engineer arrived and noticed they had run out of recording space). And for all you music nerds out there (Us included), if you’re lucky enough to score a vinyl version then be aware that Side B is manufactured with different rpm specifications (33 rpms) than the first 5 songs on Side A of the album (45 rpms) to enhance your listening experience.

FUCK lands on January 9th with a vinyl edition arriving soon after through Insecurity Hits in collaboration with Dark Side Family Jams. For the album in all its’ digital glory, head to the usual spaces like the one linked here to hear it the day it arrives. For more from TDA, including all the deets on their record release soiree dubbed “The First Annual FUCK Fest” on release day eve (That’s January 8th!) at TV Eye with The Acute, Genre Is Death, Adult Human Females, and Namesake also on board (Tix here), follow them across the information superhighway by clicking here or here.
