Track Premiere: Malkasian Releases New Single “Ghost”, Prepares For Dead Industry Records Re-Release of Self-Titled Debut

It’s some Southern-fried/down home acoustics (By way of New Jersey, of course) which drive “Ghost”, the first single off of Malkasian’s self-titled debut which is set for re-release with bonus tracks through Dead Industry Records in the near future. But in the hear and now (See what I did there?), “Ghost” offers a glimpse into the Malkasian world albeit an unplugged version.

Singer/songwriter Sean Malkasian’s gruff yet impassioned vocals are incomparable while the overall sound of “Ghost” shares roots with Charlie Daniels (Check out those blues-filled leads and the hypnotic picked lines throughout) as much as it does some of the great alt-rock of the ’90’s at times (Think Ed Kowalczyk and Live’s Throwing Copper) making the track instantly likable and familiar.

“Ghost” is available now as a “Name Your Price” single over on Bandcamp (Click the link or below to get yours) and you can stream it via YouTube here. For more music from Malkasian, check out Soundcloud, the official Facebook page, and Dead Industry Records for release info about the upcoming re-release and Malkasian-directed video for “Ghost”.
