American Dream Machine Bring The Heart And The Heavy On Deadhearts

15 December 2020 By jesse Leave a Comment

If you’re looking for the most perfect Rawk album to lift your spirits throughout this most peculiar of years then Deadhearts is the album for you! The debut magnum opus from American Dream Machine is ten of the most perfect modern Rawk anthems and easily a stand out in the year of the underdog.

But I digress.

“Dead” kicks it all off and is just the tip of the ADM Hard Rawk iceberg with crushing riffs and Shawn Adams’ anthemic croon leading towards massive choruses. “Bad News” has the same kind of badassery and this shuffle shred from guitarists Mitch Lobuglio and Adams that, when paired with drummer Evan Milowic and bassist Scott Murphy’s inherent groove, brings to mind He Is Legend’s earlier days (“Attack Of The Dungeon Witch” From Suck Out The Poison especially).

“New Apocalypse” swells with passion just as “Still Breathing” comes at listeners with all the riffs and all the raw emotion and an earnest performance from Adams and some giant sing-a-long passages with Murphy’s bass work lighting a fire to the low end. “Tomorrow” is the first to moderately slow down the frenetic pace of Deadhearts and still manages bludgeon listeners with a wall of sound as ADM highlight their songwriting prowess on this dense banger.

“Seraphim” is all swirling, screaming guitars while “Back to Life” is a subtle rager and later, “Trapped Under You” is propelled by Milowic’s massive missives on the drums before “Heart” closes up shop on Deadhearts with a defining moment that drops just the right amount of heart and heaviness.

Deadhearts drops December 18th via BVTV Records! Pre-order yours now by heading here or here and keep your peepers peeled on the American Dream Machine socials for the latest news by clicking here, here, or here.
