RNRF X Grub, Sweat & Beers 10, Day 2 (July 26th, 2026. O’Brien’s Pub)

We’re back at it again with the Day 2 scoop. Which means we don’t need an elongated intro because we said it all in the last piece (And you can check out that one right here to catch up). That said, it’s your last chance to get your grubbin’, your eatin’ and yer beerin’ on so let’s do this again!

Adi Sun– Like we said in our other post, GS&B caters to all sorts of music fans. Despite being known for the mostly Heavy acts, there’s a sensitive side at play and your hosts (Once more with feeling: Aaron Gray! Jim Healey! Doug Sherman!) always make it a point to deliver a diverse lineup. That said, Adi Sun is probably one of the most unique artists to not only play over the weekend, but also over the years of GS&B events. Ethereal, Spacey and just gorgeous, Adi Sun‘s brand of Alternative Rawk is just something to behold. Which you can do sometime around 6PM EST this Sunday!

Blackwolfgoat– Another outlet for Daryl Shepard’s (KIND, Test Meat, Milligram, etc) creativity, Blackwolfgoat has some sonic stuff GOING ON. Think in the vein of John Fruscianter or John Zorn but with some heft.

Earthlore– Fresh off a stint with co-host Doug Sherman’s Gozu and Restless Spirit, Earthlore is one of two Desert Rawk outfits on the Sunday bill with a particular sound that could be compared to Kyuss at times. In addition to this weekend, they’ll also be playing the 10th Edition of RPM Fest and before that they’ll be stopping by Widowmaker Brewing in Braintree for a show on August 12th with CROP and Friendship Commanders.

Karate Steve– Boston’s Karate Steve just released a killer new record last year which we meant to review… then didn’t (See a trend here at all? Again, though, it’s not for lack of trying!) But anyway! Time Under Tension ruled. As do Karate Steve with their brand of crushing in-your-face Heavy ass Metal that’s like a cross between Iron Reagan and Leather Lung.

Mantooth– Noise Rawk in the vein of Fudge Tunnel or, closer to home, BEDTIMEMAGIC or Deprogrammer Cult, Mantooth excels at the cacophonous Doom Sludge they deliver intently and are sure to be the energy boost you need if you get too filled up on all that free food!

Mollusk-We’ve caught Mollusk a bunch and they’re always a good time if you like your music loud… which we do. They’ll be celebrating the long awaited release of CURSEBREAKER (Their 3rd LP and first since 2017) earlier this year during their NINTH (!!) appearance at GS&B (Is that a record?) and you just know you wanna celebrate with them, right???

Outnumbered– Straight outta Burlington… Vermont, Outnumbered bring the no nonsense modern Hardcore because somebody’s gotta do it! Their PRIMORDIAL BEATDOWN dropped early this year and is a beastly serving of Old School meets New School with ALL the breakdowns you’ll need for the weekend.

Sundrifter: We’ll be talking up Sundrifter again real soon as the band head to Worm Town at the the end of August for the inaugural Wicked Doom Fest at Ralph’s Diner but in the immediate future they’ll be sharing their take on Desert Rawk (Think Dozer) with the Allston/Brighton crowds at O’Brien’s on Day 2 of GS&B! Their last record was OUTSTANDING and if we’re not mistaken, we did see some recent posts about the follow-up to An Earlier Time on the way. Will you hear any new stuff on Sunday? That’s TBD but the only way to know for sure is to, GASP!, be there.

Wire LinesWL absolutely killed it a few years back when we first caught them during the Rock & Roll Rumble and haven’t let up since with 2023’s Alternative meets Post-Rawk opus The Tragic History of the Sea still leaving an impression. Wanna know what’s better than the album, though? Catching them live… and you know where we’re going with this, yeah???

The Grubbin’, the Sweatin’ and the Beerin’ concludes on Sunday, July 26th over at O’Brien’s once again beginning a little earlier at 2PM EST and you can find tickets for the Sunday shenanigans here. For more up-to-date info on set times, eats and more you can hit the GS&B socials here and here.
