Singles! AshenMoon, “Ashen Moon”

9 April 2021 By jesse Leave a Comment

Of the few highlights that did come in 2020, the emergence of some truly stellar music both from staples and emerging artists proved to be a godsend during those trying times. A little bit of a staple because of the mileage of its’ members throughout the industry but still a relatively newer artist, AshenMoon arrived during the pandemic with a new school funkified Rawk that balanced a perfect amount of Soul and Blues while still packing a punch and are continuing to surge with their latest single, the self-titled “Ashen Moon”.

A thumpin’, throbbin’ ball of Rawk, “Ashen Moon” grabs the torch lit on Umbra I and just runs with it to evolve and expand from the sonic roadmap laid out over the course of that debut EP. Vocalist Toby Rand sounds absolutely heavenly with a cathartic croon that caresses listeners’ earholes as guitarist Jimmy Khoury speaks the language of the almighty riff with wailing screams that accentuate the soulful Rawk within. And you can’t have a successful band without a strong rhythm section and it doesn’t get much stronger in AshenMoon or on “AshenMoon” than when the legendary Garry Beers rolls out a righteous rumble on his bass while drummer Zak St John drives the track steadily with a sound that’s big, bodacious, and booming.

“Ashen Moon” is out on April 12th through Golden Robot Records. You can pre-save the track now when you head here. For more on AshenMoon, follow them across their social media pages by clicking here, here, or here.
