Singles! BAIT, “TV Personality”

It’s almost here! The new full-length from BAIT may be right around the corner (April 1st to be exact) but that doesn’t mean that the Southend outfit can’t roll out one more song to whet our appetites a little bit more, right?

And “TV Personality” is a doozy of a track! If you weren’t excited yet for new BAIT yet then “TV Personality” is for sure the one to turn the tide. Inherently BAIT at its’ core, “TV Personality” stands out firstly for being another left field slice of sonic pie when compared to what’s come so far in that it’s a sonic departure which eschews the bombast of “DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA” and the subtle Industrial hum of “My Tribe” in favor of a bouncing Electro romp that still fits the pandemic-riddled anxiety fueling the whole of Sea Change.

But I digress.

Beginning amidst a cacophony of synthesizers before a steady snare lays the groove with shimmering guitar lines that buzz around like a swarm of angry bees with those synths coming back around to create an uneasy feeling as they pulsate in an out of the forefront, there’s no doubt that “TV Personality” is as serious as a heart attack. Add Michael Webster exuding a more angsty, more pained longing to his delivery that, at times, is like a labored drawl and you have one fired up and feisty breath of fresh BAIT air to tide you over until April 1st and the arrival of Sea Change.

“TV Personality” arrives on March 18th via Cool Thing Records while the Sea Change full-length drops on April 1st (And also on Cool Thing in case you thought differently). Check this spot here for pre-orders of the record and links to where you can hear the new track first. For more from BAIT, follow them across the interwebs socially by clicking here, here, or here.
