It’s never too early to start planning the following year’s “Most Anticipated” list especially when news comes that an artist responsible for one of our most favorite’s of the previous year is back with what’s sure to be another banger.
We’re, of course, talking about Electro Darkwave darlings Corlyx who made their triumphant return recently with new single “The Echo”. Soaked in ’80’s noir, this latest boisterous beastie by the duo of Caitlin Stokes and Brandon Ashley is a sonic evolution and then some. Pulsating and driving beats propel the track into the ethereal realm with Stokes transcending to become this true witchy woman (With Ashley’s baritone providing a succinct counterpoint in the chorus) amidst a lush synth soundscape that, at times, is reminiscent of Deadsy.
