Y’all are digging Boston’s The Endorphins so far, right? Well, if you ain’t then you should change that status toot suite! For the rest of us, latest single “Myopic Dystopia” is an even more gnarly continuation of “Voyager Of A Daydream” as we march forward to the new full-length, Nothing Is Real, on November 11th. And unlike that aforementioned previous single, though, which leaned a little more towards Alt Rawk, “Myopic Dystopia” is this kind of all around rad ruckus that’s calculated and determined and hella anthemic.
But I digress!
Spilling out of an ethereal atmosphere, Matt Bass’ calming vocal delivery slowly builds towards a more commanding presence as his and Jordan Scarborough’s guitars team up for a wall of sound that, when infused with the dynamite rhythmic prowess of Jeff Walsh on drums and Austin Wilson on bass, hits a certain sweet spot between the hefty crunch of Queens Of The Stone Age’s raw self-titled banger and the more honed and crafted sound of follow-up Rated R.
If this doesn’t get you excited for the whole shebang on November 11th then you might have to cancel your membership to the cool kids club. Simple as that. Sorry?
“Myopic Dystopia” arrives on October 21st and you can find ALL the pertinent links, including The Endorphins’ socials, when you head here.
