Singles! The Freqs, “Jellyfish Cadaver”

One of the greatest things about Poachers, the most recent release from The Freqs, is that it carried with it the weight that at any moment it could all go off the rails. It’s an absolute loose, unhinged burst of sound across six glorious tracks and there’s no comparison to the feeling one gets when experiencing those tracks in a live setting.

Until now. With newest single, “Jellyfish Cadaver”, The Freqs have managed to capture lightning in a bottle to an extent on a refined/streamlined sound that’s a sort of controlled chaos but just as dangerous. Oh, and highly addictive. Because that’s just how The Freqs do.

Ian Mandly’s bass and Zack Fierman’s drums are especially solid, switching between a groovy shuffle and a staccato stinging as Seth Crowell’s vocal cadence is as gnarly and nuanced as his guitar sounds before a larger (Or is it Louder?) than life breakdown featuring BEDTIMEMAGIC’s Nicholas Pentabona hits ahead of the feral finale.

“Jellyfish Cadaver” is out now and can be found at all your most favorite DSP’s located here and by clicking on the stream below. For more from The Freqs, including all the places you can catch them live, hit the information superhighway and make stops here, here, or here.
