Ah, yes, our old friend procrastination rears their pretty little head once again. It’s true, we’ve had the newest single from Viruette for quite some time and it’s also true that one gets so enamored with a track that it never crosses their mind to actual type some notes once in a while. You see, sometimes we feverishly type up stuff that we need to decipher/reformulate later into a coherent post while other times we simply put a placeholder together (Read: Open a draft with whatever header the review is going under) and leave it for a later time. Guess what we did for “DEADTOOTH” by Viruette?
Anyway! There’s no blame to be placed now because a post is here! And it features, hands down, one of the most infectious tracks of 2025 in “DEADTOOTH”. Remember that buzz that accompanied Arctic Monkeys’ Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not? The newest single from vocalist/guitarist Harry Bee and co. has all of that. And more. With some steady stick work from drummer Andrew Ring accompanying Bee’s beat poet-like bark as Dan Wrona’s riffs form a formidable wall of noise a la Royal Blood with Bee’s own licks and George Heffernan’s immaculate hum on the bass, there’s no denying that the first new single since last year’s debut LP is some kind of wonderful.
“DEADTOOTH” and its’ accompanying self-shot video drop on May 2nd ahead of a show supporting L.A. Witch along with Daiistar at Sonia on May 7th. For the new tune, head here or here on release day, and then here and here for all the rest of your Viruette needs!
