Singles! Hinayana, “Reverse The Code”

Saying that we’ve been anticipating what’s to come next from Texas’ Hinayana following 2020’s Death of the Cosmic is a pretty big understatement at this point so you can imagine our excitement when the recent tease of new music not only delivered “Reverse The Code”, the kind of song that you just blissfully bang your head along to while extending those devil horns high no matter where you are (Which you’ll read all about below), but also heralded the arrival of a BRAND NEW RECORD that’s slated to arrive in November through Napalm Records.

As for “Reverse The Code”, it’s everything you’ve come to expect from the Austin, TX quintet… just more. More crushing. More cathartic. More HEAVY. And easily faster than anything Death... brought. Vocalist Casey Hurd’s unmistakable growl is as monstrous as ever and is truly one of the only in the genre who can sound this vicious yet still bring the melody. Then there’s guitarist Erik Shtaygrud who, when paired with Hurd’s guitar work, brings some hefty shredding and soaring solos to the mix as Matt Bius’ bass and Daniel Vieira’s drumming lay down a rhythmic onslaught. And oh yes, it’s epic as fuck thanks in part to Hinayana’s secret weapon Michael Anstice whose keyboard prowess adds a whole other dimension to the band’s sound with an atmosphere that’s both sinister and serene.

“Reverse The Code”, the first taste of Shatter And Fall which arrives on November 10th through Napalm Records, is out now through all your most favorite streaming apps and sites.
