Welcome to the weird, wonderful world of Holbrook and their utterly enthralling new single “Nari Nari”. If you dig your Queens Of The Stone Age a little batty (Think the more experimental bits of Era Vulgaris and Lullabies To Paralyze), are fond of Blur, and loved the Indie aesthetic of The Cast Of Cheers and TV On The Radio then you’re gonna wanna tune in.
Ahead of a new EP called Aliens arriving on April 10th, the three multi-instrumentalists who make up Parisian trio Holbrook have debuted the lead single and video for “Nari Nari” which begins with ominous piano lines and layered vocal harmonies which give the thumping intro an almost eerie feel before tender pluckings on the guitars bring some levity and with it, more depth to this multi-faceted Indie/Post-Punk journey. Add on an anxiety-riddled video accompaniment lamenting the burden of social media and perhaps, regrets after a night of too much to drink and you have one powerful audio/visual package from a band that you should definitely not sleep on.
