Singles! Sunshine Riot, “So It Comes”

24 February 2023 By jesse Leave a Comment

We’re on the road to the release of the Loud, Bright and Violent EP and Boston’s Sunshine Riot is unveiling yet another slab of Steve Albini-recorded modern Alt for the masses with the release of the slick, suave, and steady sounding “So It Comes”.

On the surface, “So It Comes” is another thumping throwback to a bygone era when wearing flannel 24/7 was a fashion statement with Jonny Orton’s sneer at the forefront backed by Jeff Sullivan’s booming bass, Steven Shepherd’s steady sticks, and Orton and Mark Tetreault’s guitars but delve deeper and you peel the layers back slightly to reveal moments hinting at even more great things to come from one of Boston’s rising stars. The Sullivan-led bass trip in particular, complete with some spoken word passages from Orton in the vein of Jim Morrison’s “The End” diatribe (Yeah, we know what we said), is one such revelation and yet another reason why YOU should be paying attention to camp Sunshine Riot.

“So It Comes” is out NOW ahead of the aforementioned Loud, Bright and Violent EP (Which drops in April). Get yours now by heading here or here and for the latest from Sunshine Riot, follow them across ye olde socials when you click here, here, or here.
