Boston’s Groundlift return with a scorcher of a new track entitled “Outta My Head” which is out now alongside an accompanying video to pique yer peepers as well as aurally awe you!
When last we heard from the sonic warriors that make up Groundlift they were shredding it up with “Killer Petition” (Which you can read all about by clicking here). On their latest outing, “Outta My Head”, they’re hitting their stride with a solid Rawk anthem that merges the hearty nature of a good Foo Fighters jam with the overall catchiness of anything Weezer put their name to. Regardless of comparisons, though, “Outta My Head” is the sound of a band forging their own unique sound and making memorable tunes that’ll stay stuck in your head long after you’ve finished listening.
The video is a no frills affair (Because Groundlift “aren’t into all that fluff anyway”) that highlights Leah Bluestein’s boisterous bashing, Ace McCormack’s biting guitar lines and voice leading to that anthemic chorus, and Michael Dutko’s pulsating bass throttles.
